Alright so it really bothers me that Dr. Strangelove no longer has a perfect 100% on rotten tomatoes. Some dickhead critic from a site that gave The Godfather a ¾ gave Strangelove a bad review. A 1 ½ out of 4. Keep in mind, this is over 50 years after the film came out. Like fuck you. Nobody wants your opinion this late. This site gave Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter a 2/4. This site is called reelfilm.com by the way, check it out if you want to gag.
They have a current release category which rates Birdman as a 2/4 but Taken 3, yes TAKEN 3, as a ¾. I know rotten tomatoes isn’t that great to check to see how good a film is, but the films with 100% are all great. It’s a shame that Dr. Strangelove no longer is one of them. “Kubrick’s increasingly spotty body of work” my ass. What the hell?

Oops, I forgot that I got drunk last night and complained about not getting asks. That’s embarrassing, but thank you for responding. I love to do these things.
13. Your favorite comedy film?
Dr. Strangelove for sure.
15. A film everyone loves but you hate?
Fucking Napoleon Dynamite. I haven’t watched it since high school so maybe I’ll like it more upon reviewing it, but that movie was so stupid. I get it, he’s weird, that’s a poor basis for a 90 minute film.
17. Which cinematic universe would you like to live in?
If Pokemon counts I would go with Pokemon. It feels like more of a video game universe but there are movies so I’m going with that. I’ve got it all planned out. I’d live in Hoenn cause Sapphire was my first video game. Gen III for life. Honestly the Pokemon world is a paradise compared to here, but I guess that’s the point.
i legitimately feel bad for anyone that suffers from such an extreme level of film pretension that they are physically unable to enjoy a movie that isn’t an obscure foreign film from pre-1950 that only 11 people have ever seen.
bless the independent movie theatre. go to a multiplex and bask in AVX, it’s great, but it’s not where movies live and breathe. there’s a two-screen theatre near my apartment where i do most of my movie watching. it won’t get the new hobbit film. it won’t get interstellar. It didn’t get gone girl. but you know what? it’s the independent theatre that’s playing birdman one night and lawrence of arabia the next. they’re the ones showing the room and rocky horror picture show and kurosawa retrospectives. sometimes the room is only half-full, sometimes it’s three people. but it’s like the unspoken gathering place where you can literally feel the love of film radiating from the people, the very walls of the building, everything. it’s like a shared home for cinephiles - my heart just feels so full in those little screening rooms. independent theatres are so precious and just…they need to be treasured okay.
So I just read these epitaphs from ancient Greek and Roman owners for their dogs and…
-“I am in tears, while carrying you to your last resting place as much as I rejoiced when bringing you home in my own hands fifteen years ago.”
-“My eyes were wet with tears, our little dog, when I bore thee (to the grave)… So, Patricus, never again shall thou give me a thousand kisses. Never canst thou be contentedly in my lap. In sadness have I buried thee, and thou deservist. In a resting place of marble, I have put thee for all time by the side of my shade. In thy qualities, sagacious thou wert like a human being. Ah, me! What a loved companion have we lost!”
-“To Helena, foster child, soul without comparison and deserving of praise.”
-” “[Myia] never barked without reason, but now he is silent.”
…I’m gonna cry…
Don’t need to be alone

It’s real love, it’s real
